2006A :: LABORATORY REFERENCE

Advanced
Technology
The 2000 Series Calibrators use the latest
technology from the reference source to the front panel design
to give outstanding accuracy and performance. The latest foil
resistors and an ultra linear D/A design ensures stable, low
noise outputs suitable for today's calibration requirements.
Logical
Operation
Logical front panel operation coupled with
the latest high contrast, large backlit 12mm character size
LCD display makes using the calibrator second nature. Output
status, e.g. on/standby conditions are clearly shown by LEDs
in the control keys. A large soft feel digital rotary control
allows precise adjustment of the output.
Matching
Output Connections
Output connections are arranged to match
most multimeters inputs, allowing calibration without lead changing,
saving time and reducing the risk of errors. Active terminals
are indicated by LEDs, non active terminals are isolated allowing
terminals to be connected if required. Sockets are 4mm low thermal
copper/gold contacts with a safety shroud.
Intelligent
Control
The 16 Bit internal processor not only controls
the full operation of the calibrator but monitors its internal
operation, automatically switching the calibrator to standby
in the event of an output overload. An important safety feature
on high voltages and currents.
RS232 Interface
The Bi-directional RS232 interface allows
full control of the calibrator using high level simple command
language. As RS232 ports are standard on all PC's, this allows
direct connection to your computer without the inconvenience
or expense of buying an interface card. More importantly
for field use, the calibrator can be used with a portable PC.
Calibration
'Covers On'
Calibration constants of the calibrator are
all held in non-volatile memory allowing full 'covers on' calibration.
This not only improves calibration accuracy but also reduces
cost of recalibration.
Portable
Developed for both laboratory
and on site calibration, the 2000 series packs full calibration
functionality into a briefcase size box. After a fast
warm up time of just 15 minutes the 2000 series is ready
to start work. The modern circuit design and use
of low temperature coefficient components combined
with the internal temperature monitoring and compensation,
the 2000 series calibrators allow use in uncontrolled
environments without increased uncertainties. |

Computer
Controlled Calibration System
 |
Connect
to your desk or laptop PC RS232 Port, run ProCal
Calibration software and you have a powerful calibration
system for a wide range of instruments.
On starting the program, traceability
and calibration constants are automatically downloaded
from the calibrator to the PC. Select the instrument to
calibrate and run through the calibration procedure, connect
a printer and produce a calibration certificate. Certificates
are also saved on disk for printing at a later date if
required. With a portable PC and a 2000 series calibrator,
it is now possible to be producing high quality calibration
certificates 'on site' within minutes of walking through
the door. |
Extended
Capability
Increase the versatility of the 2000 series
calibrator by the use of additional options. A wide range of
options are available including oscilloscope and DC power meter
calibration. A 1 / 5 / 50 turn clamp meter adapter, incorporating
a unique high accuracy coil can extend the current capabilities
to 1000Amps. Also available is a thermocouple adapter with a
CJC compensation sensor, and an adapter incorporating a pulsed
light emitting diode for calibrating optical tachometers.

section for full details. |
